Speechless Sundays: Peacock in my Garden.

Cape Canaveral has a very substantial population of Peacocks and Peahens that mostly reside on the ocean side of SR A1A. Every now and then, a brave one crosses the roadway and ends up in my garden to pick up fallen seeds from my bird feeder.

Cape Canaveral Peacock

These birds are considered to be a nuisance by some home owners who say they ruin their gardens and do nothing but poop and squawk. Others see them as just a part of the local wildlife along with feral cats which they feed as well. I'm just happy they only show up about once a month and then leave. I don't need to be awakened at dawn by their incredibly loud screeching :-) Next time, maybe I'll get a shot of an open tail.
