"Love Bugs" invade Florida twice a year, usually in May and September. Flights can last 4 to 5 weeks and although they don't bite, they are considered quite a nuissance. My wife and I sprayed the screen room and vacuumed dozens from inside the house today. The garden was full of them. All these little pests do is make love and then die within a few days. Not soon enough for some Floridians :-)
Love Bug Threesome :-) They typically fly around together while still joined.
A neighbor's SUV is covered with acidic bugs that will eat the paint right off your vehicle if not promtly removed.
They're having a party on the backside of my hibiscus.
