Hi John ~ Looking forward to the answer because it sure looks like a beautiful city.  The views from those highrises must be something else.

It looks like there's a runway for small planes off to the left, but I have no idea where this is. Was this taken from a plane or helicopter?

Debi - I'll let you know :-)

Liz - It is a beautiful city.

John - Not a plane or a helicopter.

If it wasn't taken from a plane or helicopter.......is it maybe Seattle?  I've never been there.

Ann - Seattle is a good guess but no. Think North East.

Well, I've never been to Florida, but would have guessed it to be there.  However I've been to Seattle, and didn't even recognize it. . .Shame on me!

Nice photo John, we will make no guess as we know exactly where you took that photo from and what we are seeing.  We won't spoil it for others.

Looks really familiar to me also.  I think there is a landmark missing that would perhaps give it away.

Is it the ship outlet from Ft. Laugerdale..?

John - I'm with Al, Peggy and Jenny.

Jenny - He's in the landmark.

Al and Peggy - Which level of the landmark do you think he took it from?  I haven't been on either level in years although I go by it regularly.

OK everyone, it's Toronto looking west from the CN Tower observation deck. You can see the Island Airport, Ontario Place and the CNE in the distance. The Grandkids were fearless and didn't mind the height at all. Thank you all for guessing and stopping by. This pic is looking east at the heart of Toronto.

Hey, John. Those are all great photos. Living in Charleston we don't get to see sky scrapers very often. Thanks, Jim

John,

Very nice shot of the city.  I would like to visit and see it in person.

I love the views you get when you are landing at Pearson and coming in from the east.  I haven't used the Island Airport yet but have heard that Porter Airlines are good.  I think there is talk of building a tunnel over so you don't have to rely on the ferry.

Yes, it certainly is a great shot of the city. I've been there a couple of times and it is a fabulous city to visit.
