Good article. We learn a lot from Active Rain blogs, even humor. Thanks for sharing.

Everyone who visits your area should visit the space center - it truly is impressive!  Thanks for sharing!

Edward and Celia - I like to let people know how great it is to live or vacation here.

Laxson - It's wonderful to open your front door and watch the shuttle take off. The Space Center is a must see!

Hi John, who's the spacey guy next to the lovely woman? LOL

The closest I've gotten to anything like this is at Disneyland. . .Sandy Shores captured some photos of the last rocket launch at Cape Kennedy last week, which I would have certainly enjoyed seeing.

Here's the pictures:

John, interesting photos!  I don't know if I am ready to have some of these guys give me a call!

Hi John - I didn't realize you are also a Canadian astronaut.  Do you have a Canadian high school named after you yet and do you plan to become a Canadian federal politician (i.e. MP)?  Marc Garneau, Canada's first astronaut has done both.

Debi - That's "Buzz" Mayer, of course!

Myrl - I saw Sandy's photos and I took similar ones. It's always great to watch and HEAR a rocket take off.

Tony and Darcy - I'll have Buzz send you an email then :-)

Marc - Canadian politicians are just as bad as US politicians, so no thanks. Being an Astronaut would be cool but I'm not fond of heights or incineration. For now, I'll just be a Realtor and beach bum :-)

John, if you come to Huntsville, you'll need to stop at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.  When I make it Florida again...I plan on hitting Kennedy.
