Dogs and cats really DO get along!

Dog and Cat Pilgrem and Indian

May your stuffing be tasty, May your turkey be plump.

May your potatoes and gravy have nary a lump.

May your yams be delicious, may your pies take the prize.

May your thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs!

Bring on the leftovers!

Cute poem.  No turkey here today but I made chicken soup.  Does that count?  Can't wait to eat my mom's stuffing at Christmas.  No one else's comes close.  I love lots of sage and poultry seasoning. As if anyone really cares lol.

Happy Thanksgiving John, as you can see Jenny and us are drooling over your poem with turkey and stuffing dancing in our heads.  Good weather, good scenery, good food, guess you just have a good life down there now John

Amanda - Hope you a good Turkey Day.

Jenny - Chicken soup counts in Canada. Stuffing is such a subjective thing. My mom's was a family favorite but my wife likes her Grandpa's suasage stuffing recipe which I make for her. It's pretty tasty! We had a turkey breast basted with my butter, olive oil, fresh herbs, onion and garlic mixture. Of course we had all the fixin's too.

Al and Peggy - The nice thing about turkey is you can cook one up whenever you want. Yes, I have a good life in Florida but of course, I still miss Canada and my old friends that I don't see often enough. It's always nice to go back - just not in the winter :-)

John:  What a cute poem.  Now... let me see... just where IS that pumpkin pie ?  And, where's the Cool Whip, too ?  Sausage stuffing ?  Sounds wonderful.  Your wife should know what a prize she has.  I hope your Thanksgiving was spent in a warm and caring place.  Take care...

Hi John - To celebrate American Thanksgiving in Canada today, we had Swiss Chalet chicken.  MMMmmmm.  Do you still celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving?

Posted by FN LN over 9 years ago

Jim - What a poet! Call the publisher :-) Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

Karen Anne - Sorry, no pumpkin pie or cool whip. There was way too much food as it is - maybe tomorrow. I like to cook and my wife likes my cooking so it's win - win :-) Thank you for the compliment. The oven made the place warm and the caring is a given. We had a nice day. I hope you did too.

Marc - I used celebrate two Thanksgivings when I was a snowbird but now one is enough. My Dad likes Swiss Chalet. Are you guys freezing yet? :-)

John - Freezing????  What's that???

Today's news is saying that November 2009 will be the first since since 1937 without snow in Toronto.
