Speechless Sundays - Sail, Power and Cruise in Port Canaveral

That's the Monarch of the Seas in the distance. We cruised to the Bahamas on that ship, considered to be small these days.

Hey John,

Beautiful photos to share, especially when it's below zero  out there in cold country. I've got a couple of these myself, to share at some point.

No doubt you brought some sunshine to others along the way and I loved-em myself, thanks!

Accept for the cruis ship it could be here at the Dana Point harbor.

I love the ocean... and warmth.  We have the ships here in Vancouver as well, just not the sunshine.  Thank you for the post.. Brightened my day.

Lynda - I'm looking forward to seeing your photos when you get warm :-)

Tim - I'm sure these scenes are everywhere near the water.

Darren - Vancouver is beautiful except for the rainy days :-)

I don't think you should wait for the lottery to buy a boat.  Buy it soon and get out there!

Well John you really do have it all there, don't you?  I'm afraid our harbours are empty right now.  It will be a few more months until our boats hit the water again.

Elite - You're welcome.

Robert - Thanks for the poke. You first!

Jenny - Your boats will be in the water soon enough and the city slickers will be driving to cottage country as always. I miss being at the lake in the Kawarthas but I'll manage :-)

Sure does look like fun! I just can't imagine being in a boat right now, as I am sitting INSIDE shivering, LOL. Great shots though!

Hi John - Looking at these photos reminds me that I will be in Florida in April for a well deserved vacation.  I can't wait.

Interesting pictures John. We're pretty much land lovers but I would like to go on a cruise some day.

Those of us living along the coast of Florida are lucky to have scenes like yours above, except maybe for the cruise ship, right at our back door.  There is nothing like the water to relieve tension.

Andrea - Just throw another log on the fireplace and hold a conch shell to your ear :-)

Bob - Welcome to Florida! You should have great weather then.

Betty & John - Cruises are a lot of fun. You should go!

Marlene - I like to go to the Port to relax. You are right - it is soothing.

Cynthia - They're pretty cool. My wife only likes boats with a bathroom (because they're more expensive :-)

John - Just curious - How far is it to the Bahamas from Florida?  I know Cuba is 90 miles!

John, a little bit of everything with the watercraft at Port Canaveral. Back a few months back when I was hanging out at Jetty Park on the beach, I was watching the turtles up against the sea wall. I love that port.

John, very nice photos!

Myrl - Nassau is 314 miles from Port Canaveral but who cares when you're on a cruise? :-)

Gary - You should have dropped by. I'm glad you like my little piece of paradise.

Barbara - My wife just went to Vero for lunch with relatives. It's a great place to live.

Tony & Darcy - Thank you.
