This painting by local Cocoa Beach artist Steve J. Harris shows the hanger where my wife's Dad used to serve. Both the hanger and Dad are now gone. If I was in the Air Force, I know my first choice would be Patrick AFB just for the location. Patrick AFB, Florida by Steve Harris

Hey John- Great photos and sentiment.  My husband and I once anchored in the Indian River near Patrick AFB to watch an airshow.

John, That Hangers photo brings back alot of good surfing memories. I also have attended one of the PAFB Air Shows back in the day too.

Paul - I have a lot of prints from my old 35mm of those airshows but haven't scanned them yet. I never missed going to the show. It was always a lot of fun! I like the pursuit of happiness part too!

Al & Peggy - I hope Canada Day was good for you. It's raining here right now so it will put a damper on the fireworks this year.

"Give me lighter fluid or give me death."  I need to send that to a family member, who is a BBQ king.  However, he can't cook unless flames and swords are involved. . .LOL

Charles - It was cloudy and rainy but the show went on as scheduled.

Myrl - Does he use the swords for hunting his BBQ fare or justing skewering? :-)
