John Mayer's Real Estate Blog: Dueling Dock Reflections on the Banana River in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Dueling Dock Reflections on the Banana River in Cape Canaveral, Florida

We finally made it back up to 70 degrees again in Cape Canaveral after a nasty cold spell. The weather has not been typical of late and I've had to turn the thermostat up and close the windows, which I hate to do. I like FRESH air! Today I took my camera down to the Banana River and was rewarded with this wonderfully calm reflection at low tide. Now if it doesn't rain on my horeshoe tournament on Saturday, I'll be a happy man :-)

John - My friends in Sarasota tell me they woke to 29 degrees yesterday.  She's been worried about the manatees.  How are they doing?

Myrl - We have had a record number of manatee deaths in 2010 due to the cold weather in the first part of the year and now we are getting cold snaps once again. It will be in the 70's for the next few days and then another cold front moves through :-(

HI John - great photograph and thanks for sharing. It is sad to hear about the manatee deaths due to the cold weather.

Toni - I think the colder weather can make you irritable, especially if you can't go on your bike ride :-)

Sharon - It's always sad when animals die but the manatees will rebound with a little help from the weather.

Al and Peggy - It rained on my horseshoe tournament but we badly need the moisture after a dry spell. I know the plants and lawn are loving it!
