John Mayer's Real Estate Blog: Snakes and Cincachoos at Friday Fest in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Snakes and Cincachoos at Friday Fest in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Every first Friday of the month, Cape Canaveral hosts "Friday Fest" and I went down to check it out with my Canon point and shoot. There is always lots of music, food and drinks but this time there was also snakes, cincachoos, skunks, bunnies, iguanas and more. Animal Love Inc's motto is "Dedicated to Educate" and they bring their animals to birthday parties, schools, summer camps, boy/girl scout meetings, businesses and more.

The Crowd

At first this looks like a venomous coral snake but it's really a Guatamalan Milk Snake. Whew!

I'm not sure if this is a python or a boa constrictor. I'm just glad it was behind glass in a terrarium.

A playful cincachoo entertains the crowd.

The young lady on the left looks a little unsure about whether this is fun or not but at least she has the back end.

Looks like a lot of fun, and an educational opportunity for kids as well.  I like to take in similar events in my area too.

Michael - They do a lot of good work exposing both kids and adults to animals on a personal level. Plus they are non profit.

John, I was going to argue with the people who told you that was a Guatamalan Milk Snake...I can't be 100% sure but it looks a lot like a Scarlet King Snake.  Anyway interesting post and thanks.

Nick - I thought I overheard the handler say it was a milk snake but I could be wrong. Who knows? It's a neat looking snake in any case.

John, ahh...they all look alike to me anyway.  Actually I like snakes...I used to catch them for pets when I was a kid...the last snake I caught I was 35...had him for a year and let him go.
