The Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida just opened the $500,000 Tree Top Trek Adventures. My wife and I bought tickets and we're planning on checking it out soon. I may have to use some Icy Hot Power Gel afterwards ;-). The Tree Top Challenge course includes multiple high stakes challenges and large zip lines 40 feet above the ground. You fly more than 700 feet across the wetlands and zip by alligators, monkeys and other zoo animals. They say it takes about 90 minutes but I've heard it's more like 2 hours. There are three course levels from easy to hard so everyone can get in on the action. It should be a lot of fun and I'll post photos after we go. We have until Nov.11 so I have time to work out :-).
The photos in this collage are on the Brevard Zoo Webpage along with many more.
Don't fall off the zip line!
Life is just better in Florida!
Have some Fun in the Sun!

Ok I'm in that sounds like a lot of fun especially if the alligators look like that.
Mark / Tim - Of course the gators look like that (in Toon Town ;-)
Barbara - The Zoo is great and our Grandkids just love it! It's even better now with zip lining. You shoud really check it out. We got our tickets half price on Groupon.
John, Sounds like you can spend an entire day there. That gator is scary! Have a nice weekend!
Thanks Keith - After the trek, you can visit the zoo on foot and yes, you can spend the whole day there. It's a great family outing!
That looks like FUN John! I'd have to get some Anti-Gator spray for in case I happen to fall into the pit...
Hi Wanda - I think it's pretty safe and those gators are so well fed, they "probably" wouldn't put the effort into getting their own meal ;-)
John, zip lining over gators? What will they think of next? Hope the gators are lazy and well fed and there is a safety net! :-)
Silvia - There's no safety net but those gators are pretty lazy. I hope I don't have to find out ;-)
Oh John! The teeth on that aligator caused me to spray Pepsi all over my computer monitor. I laughed so hard, I had it coming out of my nose:-) All that aside, the Tree Park looks like a great place for kids - both young and old!
Wow Myrl - I didn't know my blog had that effect on people ;-) I know my Grandkids will love the Tree Top Trek when they come down (minus the smiling gator).
