John Mayer's Real Estate Blog: Classic Indian Motorcycles in Cocoa Beach, Florida

Classic Indian Motorcycles in Cocoa Beach, Florida

These classic Indian Bikes immediately caught my eye as I was walking toward Cocoa Beach by Coconuts. Indian Motorcycles were manufactured in the USA from 1901 to 1953 and now a new company has been manufacturing the latest version since 2006.

The owners were both local, one from Cocoa Beach, the other from Titusville.

Nice Bikes, John.

I thought about getting a Harley, but after looking at the photos of those Indians... I may change my mind!

I can remember years ago, when I was a bride, we had a Royal Enfield.  But Indians were talked about a lot in those days.  Neat pictures John!  The faces of the guys riding them, are about as American as Apple Pie. . .LOL

Hi Fred - They are pretty cool looking and just as well respected as a Harley. Your choice!

Hi Myrl - I don't think I've seen a Royal Enfield in my travels. Did you go on your honeymoon with it? You're right, the guys were classic American riders on vintage bikes. They sounded pretty sweet when they fired them up too!

John,

Good golly...I haven't seen an Indian in quite some time. Distinctive sound.

Keith - The bikes just stood out from the crowd and begged me to take a photo :-)

Hi Rich - They do sound different. There's not too many older ones around these days.

Hi John, Your photos are totally excellent and of course the bikes are pretty hot. On one of the occasions I visited the historic gold mining town of Julian they had a couple hundred bikers come in and the machines were between awesome and not to be believed. I saw customization in a new light.

Barbara - I haven't been to Earl's yet but I'll have to go there one day. I hear the music is excellent.

Thanks William - You can spend a ton of money customizing these bikes but then you get bragging rights for having the coolest ride. Every year when Bike Week hits Daytona, Cocoa Beach is loaded with great looking machines too.

John, ya gotta love Indian Motorcycles...I have a Harley Fatboy and would definitely buy an Indian as a second bike to have in the garage.  Here's my baby.

Nick - Your bike looks really cool! I'll bet you've logged a few miles on that baby.
