John Mayer's Real Estate Blog: Cape Canaveral Beach and the Banana River Lagoon at Sundown

Cape Canaveral Beach and the Banana River Lagoon at Sundown

By the time I got to Manatee Park in Cape Canaveral, the sun was almost gone. I had to snap this "dead tree" sunset fast! The park is on the shores of the Banana River Lagoon and offers a wide variety of events including an Annual Art Festival.

Cape Canaveral Surf

Quite a few people took advantage of the cooler evening air to enjoy a walk along the shore. Tomorrow it will go back up to 95 humid degrees.

Tranquilizing scenes, John!  So much of the nation is enduring a heat wave.  Being able to tuck toes into the surf must provide respite from all that!

John, I love the swirling waters in photo number 2 and of course you can never go wrong with a sunset at Caple Canaveral Beach. The beach looks so relaxing, any time of the day or night.

Thanks for the memories, John. I've been to this area many moons ago.

Hi Myrl - In the heat of the day, I try to stay air conditioned :-) I go out for my bike ride / camera ops later on when it cools down.

Patricia - It's great to go for a walk along the beach when it cools down with a gentle salty breeze.
