John Mayer's Real Estate Blog: Wordless Wednesday - Afternoon Parasailing on Cape Canaveral Beach

Wordless Wednesday - Afternoon Parasailing on Cape Canaveral Beach

I tested the zoom at the beach on my new Panasonic HDC-TM90 video camera and was pleasantly surprised. The parasailers had to be at least a quarter of a mile off shore and yet the markings on the sail were as clear as day. Of course, the misty atmosphere interfered with total clarity at that distance but it's nice to know the zoom and anti-shake work great. I would highly recommend this camera. This video is just practice for our cruise aboard the Carnival Dream in Oct.. That will be FUN! Note: Start the video and Click on HD for best veiwing.

Hi John, What a great video. The zoom is fantastic. I may have to buy that camera and make a video at my beach. Thanks for your post.

Hi Krista - You won't be disappointed. I researched camcorders for quite a while until I bought this one.

John, parasailing is one of my favorite things.  I tried it a couple of times off Cape Cod and am hooked.  Nice video.

Patricia - I've never tried it but I think the beach is a safer bet for me. I'm not wild about heights :-)

I really want to try that!  I'm thinking of hoping a plane over to Waikiki come February.  Perhaps I'll try it while there:-)  You did a great job capturing the video.

I should also mention that the video captures something that still photos doesn't, and that's the music and the sounds of the surf.  It really enhances the ambiance!

Hi John, How exciting and I need to look into getting a video camera now and for sure I would need a telephoto lens . Just fabulous!

Hi Myrl - Hawaii would be a great place to try that as your whizzing by a volcano!  I'm still learning the software and should morph into George Lucas soon :-) I love the sound of the surf too.

Hi Dee Dee - It does seem incredible but today's technology is awesome!

William - You'd be great with a video camera but just be prepared to upgrade your computer and software to handle the HD format.

John, Great video and I love the zoom. I'm looking for a camcorder and I will be checking this one out. Thanks for the review, it was helpful.

John, Looks like that camera is just the ticket for your cruise on board Carnival's Dream.  Sounds like a great time. You'll have to let us know how it goes.  How long will you be gone?  We just came back from Cozumel on Carnival's Inspiration.  Had a great time. It was so pretty.  Second time we've been on that ship, next time we'll try a different one.

Hi Keith - I researched it a lot and this was the sharpest picture quality with a 28mm wide angle lens and great reviews.

Hi Sandy - Where do you find the time to sell real estate with all that cruising? :-) We picked the Dream because it has Cove Balconies witch are closer to the water. We'll be going for a week.  I'm looking forward to cave rafting and zip lining in Belize and should have a ton of videos and photos to share.
