Belize Ziplining and Cave Tubing: A Carnival Dream Cruise Shore Trip

As many of you know, my wife Marla and I recently went on a cruise aboard the Carnival Dream from Port Canaveral, Florida and I'd like to share this video with all of my friends on AR. The cruise terminal is only a 10 minute cab ride from our home :-) The weather wasn't perfect but we made the best of it and the ship's staff will do anything to please you. The food was non stop so you have to be carefull not to over indulge and there is always entertainment. We liked the adult comedy shows the best. More video and photos will follow!

*This High Definition video is best viewed in HD 1080p or 720p depending on how fast your connection is. You can also view it in full screen but keep in mind, You Tube compresses it to save band width. The original video on my hard drive is much better :-)

Here are links to my other two videos (so far). It will take me quite a while to edit everything but I'll get there :-) I'm working on the Roatan horseback riding now.

John,

I'm glad you and your wife Marla had a wonderful time on the cruise and enjoyed Belize! You need to do it more often.

What a great video! I enjoyed it.

I'd love the ziplining, but the cave tubing would be wonderful to do.  I love that they put helmets on you for the ziplining.  Like that would help if the cables failed. . .LOL  Every bone in your body is crushed to smitherins, but your head is OK. . .LOL

Thanks Pat - We all need to take a vacation and a cruise is a great way to unwind!

Hi Myrl - Even the guides admitted the helmet wouldn't do much good but we had to wear them anyway. The thing that bothered me the most was that my helmet smelled like an old gym bag :-( The gloves were kind of worn as well. There are two cables for safety and I thought that was a good thing! Overall, I would rate the experience a 6 and we found out afterwards the ziplining on Roatan was much better. Live and learn!

Hi John, This was just terrific and I would be right there for the ziplining and cave tubing. What fun. I think I would also like the idea of retiring in Belize one day , I watch the International Homebuyers on HGTV and lots of activity with Americans buying homes there.

Hi William - Retiring in Belize might sound like a good idea but I would do a ton off DD before comitting to that. Go down for a zipline and check it out :-)

Reminds me of Hamilton's Hole in Austin!

Hi Sussie - Hamilton's Pool looks like a great place to enjoy a lazy summer day.
