For many years now, Santa has traditionally rode through Cape Canaveral on a Fire Truck throwing Candy and the blasting the "Chipmunks" all over town. I caught him at the Hitching Post Trailer Ranch which has been here since the sixties when the Space Program started to take off. It is a winter home for snowbirds and has many permanant residents. The Fire Fighters do a great job! Happy Holidays everyone!

John, Nice video...that must be a big thing for the kids! have a nice day!
John, That is a a great video! Nice to have Santa go through the trailers! Have a great Monday!
Keith - It's a big thing for the older kids :-) This is an over 55 park.
Tony and Darcy - Everyone looks forward to Santa coming each year :-)
John,
Nice tradition and typically Florida. Nice video and music. :)
Steve
Way too cute, John! You did a great job with the video! I'm also taken that they call it a Trailer "Ranch." Never heard that label put on a trailer park before!
How fun!! At our first home in Katy, TX...the local fire dept. did something similar, but they would play their sirens the entire time. The first Christmas there, we thought, "My there must be a BIG fire nearby!" After a while, we figured it out... ;)
Hi Steve - It IS typically Florida isn't it? Santa goes down every street in Cape Canaveral each year.
Thanks Myrl - A former Mayor of Cape Canaveral owns this Trailer "Ranch". I guess he thought it was classier than a "Park" :-) You can walk to the Banana River and the Ocean from this location and it fills up with snowbirds every year.
Sonja - I don't know which would be more annoying; sirens or chipmunks. At least the singing chipmunks fade away as the truck drives on :-) In any case, it spreads good cheer throughout the community.
John, Ahh, we love to see Santa when he's heading out on the fire truck throwing candy out to the kids.
Sandy - I've seen Santa on a fire truck almost every year since 1991 and it never gets old. The kids (and adults with a sweet tooth) get candy and the smiles are priceless.
I just wanted to stop by and wish you and your family a Merry Christmas, John! I hope you get everything you wished for:-)
John Very cute. Here's wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year
Thanks Myrl - It's been difficult for me the past few days with personal issues. Fortunately I have friends and family to help me cope. It hasn't been easy. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
Thanks Karen - I wish you and Arthur all the best in the new year!
