Speechless Sundays: Manatee Park Car Show in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Manatee Park in Cape Canaveral, Florida recently held a local car show and family day with bounce houses and vendors. It's a great way to take a break and enjoy the sunshine.

This is a sixties Plymouth Fury 3. My Uncle Fred sold me his bare bones 1968 Plymouth Fury 1 for $50 because that's all they would give him for a trade-in. It was "hot" beige and rarely started without coaxing or a jump but it was good enough for a starving musician at the time :-).

A perfect Rolls for beach cruisin'.

Hi John - You have some great photos of beautiful cars.  We have quite a few antique car shows in the GTA and, of course, the annual Canadian International Auto Show downtown that just wrapped up in mid February.

Hi Marc - I used to be a part of the big Toronto show when I was in the business and I miss it. Thanks for dropping by!

What a fun and wonderful event, John!  I love the black Plymouth Fury with the flames.  I can see a Hummer painted that way:-)  But that Rolls Royce is so very classy!

New meaning to mirrors on the ceiling. Yes, I know it isn't glass.

Hi Myrl - That paint job on a hummer would be cool but I should tell you that it's a Chevy El Camino. The Plymouth is the pic below :-)

Hi Than - "Mirrors on the Hood"...hmmm. Sounds like the title of cult movie :-)

There is nothing like a great car show to attend on the weekend with the family.

Wow, that was a walk down memory lane John! Jumping the cars was half the fun!

Al and Peggy - When your'e young with very little money, you learn how to jump cars pretty fast. It's only fun thinking about it now :-)

Hi John, I always enjoy your posts. I especially like that Rolls. The car shoows are a fun way to appreciate the restoration genius of their owners.

Hi Barbara - We are lucky to have something going on all the time, although I can do without the spring break traffic :-)

Thanks William - It would be nice to drive that Rolls on Daytona Beach. Car restoration is labor intensive and you're right...these guys are geniuses.
