John Mayer's Real Estate Blog: Santa comes to Cape Canaveral on a Fire Truck - 2012

Santa comes to Cape Canaveral on a Fire Truck - 2012

Every year Santa rides through all of the streets in Cape Canaveral, Florida on a Fire Truck and throws candy to bystanders along the way. You can always tell he's coming because you can hear the "Chipmunks" singing and the horn and siren a mile away. Young and old alike wave to Santa and scoop up the tootsie rolls and suckers. Cudos to the firemen who spend their day spreading good cheer throughout the neighborhood. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

John, This sounds like a great event for the kids, they all love fire trucks

David - The kuds love it and so do the adults. It's been a tradition here for years.

John,

There seems to be a firetruck tradition with the big guy in the red suit in a lot of communities. We do something similar with the Christmas Tree lighting here in Crofton...and it's always well attended.

Hi Rich - I'm sure it's big in a lot of communities. That reminds me. I'll have to put up my lighted candy cane :-)

Thank Myrl - How many kids do you think have asked Santa to bring a fire truck down the chimney over the yeras? Sometimes I wish the firemen would get rid of the Chipmunk music though :-)

What it is with Santa and these dam fire trucks, one would think sleighs don't exist anymore or Santa was a fireman. LOL

Hi John,

Great photos of Santa on the Firetruck and I am sure kids and adults both got a real thrill out of this. Happy holidays.
