John Mayer's Real Estate Blog: A Great Afternoon at the Cocoa Beach Pier

A Great Afternoon at the Cocoa Beach Pier

It was a Great Afternoon at the Cocoa Beach Pier. It cleared up after some tropical rain and the sun came out once again. Pictured below is the Pat Michaels Trio. I know the guys and they played great! Mike (on the right) plays a mean acoustic lead guitar. There is so much talent here, it boogles the mind. We all need to support our local musicians!

My friend Donna. We had a great time listening to the band with a few Bacardis and Coronas. The shrimp was excellent too.

John, That does look like a great way to spend an afternoon.  There really is a lot of great "unknown" talent out there!  Have a great evening!

Tony - Thanks to the internet, it's getting easier for bands to get exposure but getting paid what you're worth is another matter. Take care!

Coronas and Shrimp sound like great food for that kind of afternoon. . .I'd love to be one of the umbrella crowd about now!

Hi Myrl - It was a great day after the tropical rains subsided. I have an umbrella...you can always come down and use it. We'll have a Corona and watch the surf roll in :-)

Hi John, This is Florida living on most weekends. Sun, food, a few libations and you have the makings of a wonderful day! For many that are fortunate, it is also a way of life.

William - We don't make as much money down here but the fringe benefits are excellent!

John, now this looks like a very fun scene!  I've missed the beach this summer, except in photos here on Active Rain.

Hi Pat - All roads lead to the beach. Just take one and relax :-)

Hi Maria - It's a tourist trap but they have lots going on.

John, this is my first visit to you and your locals at Cocoa Beach....thanks to Teresa Lansford, who just put you in the spotlight with her entry for my Virtual Travellers contest. I have to say, I'm SMITTEN!! She did a truly wonderful job of writing about your glorious slice of paradise....and I've got one of my own so it takes A LOT to take me away--even virtually!

As a result, I'm now a "follower". See you at the beach!

John, nice post about Cocoa Beach. I love that area. Glad you are promoting local bands, too. My brother is a drummer in Port Orange.

Hi Gayle - Thank you so much for the kind words. I have travelled all over Florida and this is where I chose to settle. It's laid back and exciting all at once!

Thank you Teresa. What an exceptionally nice post you created!

Hi Jill - I know and play with most of the local bands with my blues harmonicas and have played just about everywhere as a solo and duo. I hope your brother is drumming up a storm...but not a hurricane! :-)
