John Mayer's Real Estate Blog: Throwing "SHOES" is a Great way to Relax after a Busy Week

Throwing "SHOES" is a Great way to Relax after a Busy Week

Paco and I came in 3rd at the Jump's Tiny Tavern Sat. horseshoe tournament after winning 3 in a row but we fell short against the 2 teams that ended up in the final. I threw 4 six packs (back to back ringers) and Paco played great. There's always next week and more things to do and see in Cocoa Beach! Bring your camera. BTW - This photo was taken with my Galaxy S4 cell phone!

Nothing like a friendly game of "shoes" John and I am sure you are good enough at it that you don't need to be challenged. Great fun. Your photo came out real good.

John, The important thing is that you relaxed and had a great time!  Have a great night!

With each new cellphone release, the quality of photos only seems to get better and better.  Great picture, John!

Hi john, Congratulations, ringers are not as common as people think and back to back is excellent.

John, you guys look like bruisers! You look like you could really throw shoes!

Hi Myrl - You're right but they still have a small sensor and the photos need tweaking using the right software.

Thanks Gary - We have a lot of really good players and the competition is "fierce" but always amicable. If you don't throw ringers, just sit down, save your 5 bucks and have a beer :-)

Thanks Tony - It's always nice when you throw well, win or lose.

Hi William - It takes more than people know to throw the perfect "shoe". You have to coordinate mind and body in one fluid motion. ...Kind of like Karate or Tandem Surfing :-) I took the photo below on Cocoa Beach.

Thanks for the feature Bob. I hope life is treating you well!

Hi Patricia - If we threw them too far, we would end up damaging our parked cars. Fortunately, not many ever go astray....except when a newbie wants to play :-) "License and registration, please."

Hi Kristin - FYI, we have several women that play and do very well. They get to throw 10' in front of the pin according to the official rules but they are good enough to pitch from the men's line. Sue and I were 3 wins and 2 losses on Sat. 1/18/2014.
