I am posting this with a heavy heart after learning that my friend and fellow musician found out he has cancer. Justin is always smiling, playing guitar, talking with his many buddies and having a good time. He was with the unit that searched for Saddam when they finally pulled him out of his hole and made it back home in one piece. Justin loves "killing it" on his guitar and I know he's tough enough to beat this. I hope with the recent uproar about VA neglect, he receives the treatment he needs as soon as posible. When you read about the burning of toxic waste in war zones, you can't help but wonder if that contributed in any way. The complaints about road blocks to closings, personal annoyances and computer glitches that I had yesterday, have now taken on a new perspective. Get well my friend, for that is all that really matters.
UPDATE: 6/15/2014. I just spoke with Justin on Sat. and he told me that the Docs in Orlando told him he had fatty deposits on his lungs, not cancer. The radiologist at Cape Canaveral Hosp. got it wrong and caused him a weeks worth of worry and grief. WTF?! He still should stop smoking and knows it.
