Jump's Tiny Tavern: Worst Bar in Cocoa Beach

I hesitate to post local "drama" to Active Rain but I feel that my clients need to know where to stay away from, especially if they are new to the area. My group used to play horseshoes there before the husband and wife who leased the business locked horns and hired lawyers. It has gone downhill ever since and even violent thanks to the psycho wife who has decided that I am evil because I sided with the husband along with all the rest of the horseshoe players. We took our business elsewhere. If anyone wants to know where all the "good places" are just ask me. This is a wonderful area with lots of things to do and great establishments to have dinner, entertainment and a Corona.

John - Over the years I have followed your good times, once had at Jumps.  It can be really sad when the personality of a special place changes.  I've had that happen in my life as well.  I hope any new digs you and your friends decide to frequent will hold some of the same ole magic.

Myrl -  This has taken a toll on me and Donna. I just can't believe there are so many vindictive people out there that need to be on meds of some kind. I try very hard to get along with everyone and use reason instead of confrontation but some people just don't get it. I love playing horseshoes but I'm going to give it a rest for a while. There is so much to do here and I may form my own league.

The fortunate thing about horseshoes, is that finding a place to set up a game can be as easy as a local park, or beach.  If I were to get upset with my health club, I'd need to find another suitable pool.  I've forged so many relationships at my club that it would be tramatic to change.  So, I know how you and Donna must feel!

John, wow, too bad horseshoes had to fall victim to a couple bickering!

Myrl - Thank you so much for understanding. We have many outstanding people in our group but I think that the drama isn't worth it. We have better things to do without spending another minute dwelling on this. We have ordered custom corn hole boards and the snowbirds will love it. Life is still good and hopefully it will be a lot less stressfull in the coming months. The beach is just down the road :-)

Hi Pat - It's more than bickering. It's infidelity, vindictiveness, pshychotic behaviour and just plain stupidity. We all had such a good time in the beginning but I'm ready to move on and form a new circle of friends without the drama. I was born in Canada so this type of garbage is not what I am used to. Life is a journey and I will find my way (and sell lots of properties) :-)

Things like this happen all the time we just move on to other places. Wipe our shoes off and further move on.

Thanks Sussie - I intend to do just that. After further investigations, I have found that the property in question was sold for a bargain basement price and the taxes paid are ridiculous compared to other residents. Something smells "fishy".
