John Mayer's Real Estate Blog: Dippin' Dots at the Zoo

Dippin' Dots at the Zoo

What better way to spend a Sunday than enjoying Dippin' Dots at the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida

Sunday Treat

Being attacked by playful, hungry Parrots can be a little overwhelming at first but the birds are mostly good natured and know what's in those little cups! My niece's friend, pictured below, had a lot of fun and wanted to keep feeding them more after she got used to the little squawkers.

John, she does not appear to be enjoying feeding the parrots. I assuming she is your daughter.

Roy - She's my niece's friend and after being a little overwhemed at first, she had a great time and was mostly laughing and giggling. Just in case anyone is wondering, the birds were fed a fruit concoction provided by the Zoo. The Dippin' Dots were long gone by then!

John - I am not so sure I would have liked having the birds on me like that . . . great photo though!

Hi John,

Glad to hear she got into the frenzy.  I need to get to the zoo and take some pictures, thanks for reminding me :-)  Have a great week.

You know, I have never tried Dippin Dots.  They look interesting, and I've been told that they're quite tasty, but I've just not ever actually tried them.

Thank you all for your comments. My wife loves those little Dippin' Dots but only treats herself once or twice a year, usually at the Zoo. The rest of the time it's B & G's Cherry Garcia or Publix Premium. Life is tough!

Hi John, Fun pics! I was the zoo today, froze my fanny off! Love the 2nd shot, must have freaked her out for a minute!

Hi John, My sister had a smalish parrot called a sun conure. She was, indeed a little squacker! Cute pics!

Mindy and Jay - I guess you din't see my post above:

"Just in case anyone is wondering, the birds were fed a fruit concoction provided by the Zoo. The Dippin' Dots were long gone by then!" The kids love those little dots.

Debi - All the kids get freaked out for about 5 seconds and then start laughing. It's harmless fun and both the kids and birds love it.

Marian - It's pretty noisy in there!

With a chilly 24 degree day I am insanely jealous of the desire to eat ice cream. I would love to take a trip to the zoo.
